To
register for Deer Stalking Certificate
Level 2 (DSC2) you must first have obtained
your Deer Stalking Cerificate Level 1
(DSC1).
There are a number of Assessment
Centres that you can register with, listed on the DMQ website.
It is not necessary to register with the same assessment centre you registered with for your DSC1. When you register you will be issued with
a portfolio. It is then your responsibility
to have it completed.
Deer
Stalking Certificate Level 2 (DSC2) requires
you to complete 3 separate witnessed deer culls.
All three of these must be witnessed
by an Approved Witness or Assessor.
DSC2
is not only a test of your competence
in stalking, shooting, gralloching and
lardering deer, it also tests your knowledge
of deer diseases and food hygiene issues.
Training
materials are available from Donington
Deer Management (01332 810757) - they
can supply either a video on deer carcase
preparation, or a training manual.
